Full tour-description:
Stage 1:
Day 1 and 2 --- Arrival
in Lima and Arequipa
The first day you will arrive in Lima, the sizzling capital of Peru. The next
day you take your flight to Arequipa, our hometown. Here we will brief you
about your tour.
The rest of the day and the next day you can stroll the streets of Arequipa
and visit the famous Plaza de Armas and museums in the white city.
Day 3, 4 and 5 --- Arequipa
- Moquegua - Puno - Copacabana
We start our "Dirt Bikes" and our tour. Up ahead to Moquegua, the
"Copper Capital" of Peru, a quit little town in the middle of the
desert. The next day we have to cross the Peruvian-Bolivian border. This is
the first border-crossing in a long row. We spend the night in Copacabana,
on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Day 6, 7 and 8 --- Copacabana
- Coroico - La Paz
Through La Paz, where we will return later, we go to the tropical Yungas. We'll
spend the night in Coroico. Over the one and only 'Death road' we ride to La
Paz. Here you can visit the famous Witch-market and all the other sites.
Day 9, 10 and 11 --- La
Paz - Oruro - Tahua - Uyuni
We
follow the highway southbound to Oruro. From there we will hit the bad gravelroads
of Bolivia. Up to the hotel on the shores of the biggest saltlakes on earth:
Salar de Uyuni.Of course we wil ride the slatflats. It depends on the weather
if we can do this on our bikes or in a 4x4. The saltflats are stunning! We spend
the night in rural Uyuni. The next day we follow the road to the border with
Argentina.
Day 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 ---
Uyuni - Tupiza - Humahuaca - Salta
Finally back on asphalt, we go in two days to the beautiful city of Salta.
Day 17, 18 and 19
--- Salta
- Cachi - Cayafate - Belén
Over the famous partially unpaved Ruta 40 (Argentinian Route 40), with
amazing views, we are heading south to a nice hacienda near Cachi.
Further via Cafayate, in the middle of a wine-region, to Belén. We can visit
in Quilmes one of the southernmost Inca-ruins.
Day 20, 21 and 22 ---
Belén -
Villa Union - S.A. de Valle Fértil - Mendoza
From Belén we ride in 3 days to Mendoza. Mostly on gravel-roads.
This is the end of Stage
1. The riders of Stage 2 will join us here.
Day 23 --- Mendoza - Homewards,
via Santiago or Buanos Aires (End of
Stage 1)
The participants who leave the tour here will fly, via Santiago or Buenos Aires,
home.
Stage 2:
Day 1 --- Arrival
in Mendoza

We will pick you up on the airport of Mendoza. We will brief
you about the tour. The rest of the day is to explore this nice city.
Day 2 and 3 ---
Mendoza - Malargüe - Chos
Malal
(Continue: Day 23 and 24)
We start our "Dirt Bikes" for Stage
2 of this tour.
A beautiful ride is our part. In two days to we ride to rural Chos Malal.
Day 4 and 5 --- Chos
Malal - Zapala - San Martin de los Andes
(Continue: Day 25 and 26)
From Chos Malal it is only 2 days to San Martin de los Andes, on the
foot of this majestic mountain-range. The scenery is spectacular.
Day 6 and 7 --- San Martin de los Andes -
Bariloche
(Continue: Day 27 and 28)
And we arrive in the 'Aspen' of South America: San Carlos de Bariloche.
Day 28 is a day at leisure in Bariloche.
Day 8 --- Bariloche Homewards, via
Santiago or Buenos Aires (End
Stage 2)

For the riders who did (only) Stage 2, the tour ends here. The participants
who leave the tour here will fly, via Santiago or Buenos Aires, home.
Stage 3:
Day 1 ---
Arrival in Bariloche

We will pick you up on the airport of Mendoza. We will brief
you about the tour. The rest of the day is to explore this nice city.
Day 2, 3 and 4 --- Bariloche
- Esquel - La Junta - Coihaique
(Continue: Day 29, 30 and 31)
Here we really enter Patagonia. Through the wonderful Andes we pass
the Argentinian-Chilean border. Mountainranges and -lakes enough to
make you smile.
Day 5, 6 and 7 --- Coihaique
- Puerto Guadal - Perito Moreno - La Agonstura
(Continue: Day 32, 33 and 34)
In Puerto Guadal we will visit a very nice hotel with spectacular views
on the lake. The next day we have to cross the order again to Argentina.
We'll ride first to the Perito Moreno and the next day to 'Estancia
La Agonstura'.
Day 8 and 9 ---
La Agonstura - El Calefate

A long day along the foothills of the Andes will take you to the nice little
city of El Calefate. The next day we can arrange a visit to one of
the biggest icefields on earth.
Day 10 and 11 ---
El Calefate - Puerto Natales
(Continue: Day 37 and 38)
After the beauty of the glaciers, we have to ride further
south and cross the border again to Puerto Natales and the next day we
will visit the magnificent "Torres del Paine".
Day 12, 13 and 14 ---
Puerto Natales - Cerro Sombrero - Ushuaia
(Continue:
Day 39, 40 and 41)
Here we will hit the pampa. From Puerto Natales to the "Straights of Magellan".
Here we'll have to take the ferry to cross the straights. We stay the night
in Cerro Sombrero, a very little town just on the other site of the straights.
And the next day we have to cross the Chilean-Argentinian border for the last
time. Here on 'Tierra del Fuego' we take our last off-road part before we enter
Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. You'll have a day in this
navy-town.
Day 15 ---
Ushuaia Homewards, via Buenos Aires (End of Stage
3)

Because this is the end of Stage 3, we will bring you to the airport
for your flight home, via Buenos Aires.
