The (down-)payment:

For all our tours a downpayment is required. This downpayment must be paid to PeruMotor S.R.L. upon booking of the tour. This makes it for us posible to arrange your trip. The rest of the amount must be paid 6 weeks before departure. See our 'Terms and Conditions'.

For all our tours is a downpayment required of € 250,00 per person.
For trips with the Inca-trail included, a higher downpayment-amount is required.

As soon as we receive your downpayment, we will send a order-conformation to your email-address.

Payment with credit-card is posible through Paypal
Because of the high bankcosts with PayPal, we have to charge these costs.

We also accept a payment by wire through Western Union Money Transfer.

  • All prices are 'per person' and in the specified currency.

  • With the descriptions of our tours you will find exactly what is included in the total-amount, and what not! In our offers is it also specified, but in general:
    • Included in our tours:
      • Transport from Lima to Arequipa vv (most of the time by airplane)
      • All nights in a tourist-class hotel in a double room. Single participants will be paired up with others unless they indicate on the booking that they want a single room and pay the single room supplement. We can not garantee a single-room for all locations in Peru, Chile and/or Bolivia.
        Most of the time continental breakfast is included.
        Rental motorcycle with 'unlimited mileage'.
      • Multi-lingual guide on a motor.
    • Not included in our tours:
      • The intercontinental flight to and from Lima.
      • Fuel.
      • All entrance-fees for parks, museums, excursions, etc.
      • All meals.
      • Personal expenses.
      • Additional insurance.
       

  • Weather conditions
    PeruMotors schedules its tours at a time of the year, when the weather in the touring area is usually pleasant for motorcycling. Many tours pass through areas, where weather conditions can change very fast and significantly. PeruMotors cannot be made liable for unpleasant and unsuitable weather conditions and no refunds are made for such conditions. Bad weather conditions causes changes in the tour routing and accommodations, the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly and alternate hotels and roads will be used.

  • South America...
    Besides changes in the weather, the participant should consider that the countries he will visit are developing-countries, with a different life-standard than the western standards. This is South America! And is it also possible that certain roads are closed, due to weather or bad maintenance. Sometimes we have to take a alternative route. That's why we always ask a positive and flexible attitude of our participants.

  • Altitude Sickness
    About half of all the visitors who stay on heights moren than 3.500 meters will experience some problems with altitude sickness. This is a reaction from the body, because of a lack of oxigen in the air. Delevoping altitude sickness doesn't depend on fitness or routine.
    There are many symptoms with altitude sickness. Mostly it will be nauseaness, headache, insomnia and giddiness. During our tours we will reach maximum heights of 5.000 meters, but we stay the night on max. 4.200 meters. On this height is not very likely that you will have much trouble. Probably most visitors will feel the difference while climbing stairs. Take it easy and be sure to drink a lot of fluids, like coca-tea.

  • Do you want to participate with your own motorcycle?
    Participants can join our guided tours with their own motorcycle. In this case the rider/owner of the motorbike has to take care himself of the transport of the motorcycle to Arequipa, Peru. And the insurance of the motorcycle must comply with the local standards. PeruMotors can not arrange this transport and/or insurance.

  • Printing- and calculations mistakes
    PeruMotors and/or Peru-Private-Tours reserves the right to correct printing errors or calculations mistakes at any time.

Check-list travelers:

A valid passport. Has to be valid until 6 months after return form Peru.
A roundtrip airline-ticket.
A valid drivers license.
Euro's and/or US Dollars in cash.
Creditcard. Best accepted are Visa en MasterCard.
Cirrus Bankcard.
Health-insurance with coverage in South-America.
Shots for Hepatitus B and Yellow Fever. Anti-malaria medicine are not necessary for all our tours.
Filmrolls: Take 200 ASA with you. 100 & 400 ASA are available in Peru.
Day(back)pack for your camera, sweater, sunblock, etc., etc.
Swiss army-knife and flashlight.


This is what we always take for ourselves:

5 sets socks and underwear.
2 pairs of trousers with detachable legs.
5 T-shirts.
One micro fleece sweater.
Long underwear, for upper and lower body.
A windbreaker.
Swimming-gear.
'Comfortable' shoes, like sneakers.
Waterresistent sandals.
A hat or cap.
Foldable poncho.
Sunglasses.
Sunblock with a high protection-factor.


This is what we always take for ourselves on a motortour:

Motorsuit.
Motorboots.
Motorhelmet with goggle.
Summer and winter-gloves.
Kidney-belt.
Money-belt for your passport, cash, wallet, etc.,etc.

Some travelers take more, most have less...

Insurance and own-risk PeruMotors S.R.L. rental-motorcycle
(Only valid for guided tours ! )

The rental-motorcycles of Perumotors S.R.L. are insured according to the minimum requierements (SOAT) of the Peruvian authorities.

That implies:
•  Damages and liabilities for death, personal injury, partial or permanent disability and medical or hospital bills of third parties are covered, with a maximum amount of (±) US $ 5.000,00.
•  Damages and liabilities for death, personal injury, partial or permanent disability and medical or hospital bills of the rider and/or his/her passenger is covered with a maximum of (±) US $ 5.000,00.

For all other damages:
•  Damages to the rental-motorcycle, due to fire or theft are covered by PeruMotors as far as the day-value of the motorcycle.
•  Material damages to third parties are NOT covered.
•  Material damages to the 'own' rental-motorcycle are NOT covered. Mechanical damage, when the rider is not to blame, is covered by PeruMotors.
•  All consequence damages are NOT covered.

The obligatory covering (SOAT) for personal damage to third parties is sufficient and does not need extra insurance.

PeruMotors learned that claiming upon the SOAT is a long and dificult 'road'. The medical help according to the SOAT is likely not the same you are used to.
That is why PeruMotors recommends all her clients strongly to insure fully against cancellation, accident, loss of luggage and personal property and medical expenses.
The renter of a PeruMotors rental-motorcycle is fully liable for all material damages to third party property and/or to 'his own' Perumotors rental-motorcycle. This 'Own-Risk' can be reduced to zero (US $ 0.00) for € 6,00 per day. If you choose to do so, PeruMotors will take, in case of damage, all liability from the rider. The insurance premium is to be payed before the start of the tour.

BE AWARE: The renter is fully liable for any damage to the PeruMotors rental-motorcycle and/or third party property if it is caused by careless, wilful or reckless driving, driving without a helmet or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Insurance and own-risk 4x4

All our cars have a full All-risks insurance. In case of an accident is the car, all persons in it and other persons (!) are covered for the costs of personal in jury, until a maximum of $5.000,=. In Peru is it not posible to raise this amount!
We recommend a additional health- and/or travel-insurance!

  • Insurance: All Risks.
  • Own risk : US$ 1,000.00 per rental-period.
  • Safety deposit $ 1,500.00 or with a valid creditcard.

It is always posible to rent a 4x4 with us. We rent a Toyota Hi-Lux pick-up or similar model car, with or without a guide.
