4x4 Fly Drive - Peru - 15 days
This 'Fly Drive' is an easy ride of two weeks through southern Peru. In these two weeks you will visit the worldfamous Nasca-lines, the highest navigable lake on earth: Lake Titicaca and, of course, Machu Picchu, once the lost city of the Inca's. Besides these very famous sites, you will conquer the high Andes with your 'macho' 4x4 and you will get to know the very friendly people of Peru.
We provide the 4x4-car and we arrange all the hotels for you. So you only have to drive and have lots of fun doing that.

Full tour-description:
Day 1 and 2 --- Arrival in Lima and Arequipa
The first day you will arrive in Lima, the sizzling capital of Peru. The next day you take your flight to Arequipa, our hometown. Here we will brief you about your tour.
The rest of the day and the next day you can stroll the streets of Arequipa and visit the famous Plaza de Armas and the museums in the white city.
Day 3 --- Arequipa - Camana
The tour starts and you start your car. Up ahead to Camana on the Pacific coast. The first riding-day on our tours is always a quiet day to get used to your car.
Day 4 --- Camana - Nasca
You follow the PanAmerican Highway northbound, leaving the mountains behind us. The next 500 kilometers like the 'Dakar' through the desert to Nasca, a little village worldfamous for her Nasca-lines. These lines are drawn by the Nasca-people from B.C. until 1150 A.C. These mysterious drawings on the ground can only be seen from a Cessna-plane.
Also in Nasca are the Inca-aquaducts and the pre-Inca burielgrounds of Chauchilla.
Day 5 --- Nasca
Day at leisure in Nasca to make your flight over the lines and to explore the city or the other interesting sites around Nasca.
Day 6 --- Nasca - Chalhuanca
Behind Nasca the mighty Andes brings you to above 4.200 meters, where you will meet the lama's and vicuñas. Here starts the best road for motorbikes in South-America. If you have ever ridden the "Tail of the Dragon", this the same... but for 400 miles!!!
You stay the night in Chalhuanca in a very nice hotel.
Day 7 --- Chalhuanca - Cusco
After breakfast and enough of ascending and descending you arrive in one of the most beautiful cities of South-America: Cusco. The ancient capital of the Inca's. You will enter Cusco on the Avenida del Sol (Avenue of the Sun), the most important god of the Inca's. This is a town to discover, with all its little streets, the Plaza de Armas, cathedral, local markets, ruins of Sacsayhuaman, etc., etc. And in the evening you can explore the vibrant nightlife in Cusco.
Day 8 --- Cusco

Day 9 --- Cusco - Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu)
A nice and easy ride brings you to Ollantaytambo. Here you hop on the train to Agusas Calientes near Machu Picchu. This train-ride of almost 1,5 hours will take you through the high Andes along the Amazone-river to The Lost City of the Inca´s, Machu Picchu.
The next morning you can see the sunrise over the one of the most significant ruins of the Inca's: Machu Picchu in the middle of the jungle.
Day 10 --- Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) - Ollantaytambo
After your visit to the ruins of Machu Picchu, you take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where you will stay the night.
Day 11 --- Ollantaytambo - Puno (Lake Titicaca)
A long but easy ride today to the city on the shoreline of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake on earth. Over 3.800 meters high in the Andes.
Along the way you can visit ancient burielgrounds of the Inca's and Pre-Inca's in Sillustani, with fantastic views.
Day 12 --- Puno (Lake Titicaca)
You can visit the floating islands of the Uros indians and one of the real islands in the lake. The Uros-people live for hundreds of years on the reet-islands. The build everything out of reet, houses, boats and schools. After the Uros-islands you can go further to Taquile-island. Here you will meet with the locals.
Day 13 --- Puno - Chivay
Asphalt and dirt-roads will your part this day. You will cross several mountain-peaks in the Andes. Over mountain-passes of 4.910 meters high with beautiful views on the great eight volcanoes of Arequipa. Accompanied by thousands lama's, alpaca's and vicuña's. In the evening you can relax in the hotsprings of Chivay, a little village in the Colca Canyon.
Day 14 --- Chivay - Arequipa
An early 'rise & shine', because this time you will visit 'Cruz del Condor' in the middle of the Colca Canyon. This is the best place to see the Andean Condor in his natural habitat. From there you return to Chivay for lunch. The last kilometers you pass the El Misti and Chachani volcanoes, before you arrive back in Arequipa, our hometown. In the evening you can enjoy a cold beer and a alpaca-steak in one of the many restaurants and bars in the centre of Arequipa.
Day 15 --- Arequipa - Transfer to the airport
The morning at leisure in Arequipa to relax or to enjoy this beautiful "White City" in the south of Peru. In the afternoon we will bring you to the airport in Arequipa for your flight to Lima. In Lima you take your connecting flight home.
Day 16 --- Arrival
Arrival 'back home'.
