Full tour-description:

Day 1 --- Arequipa - Aplao
In the morning we pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the starting-point of the tour. There we'll start our engines. Out of the city, heading to the PanAmerican Highway northbound. After about 200 Km (120 miles) of asphalt we arrive in the little town of Aplao.
Before we reach our first night village, we visit Toro Muerto. This place is the world biggest field of petroglyphs and even a World Heritage place from the UNESCO. Time to leave the bike for a minute and walk around in these very unique place. Also nearby is Peru's own Jurrasic Park. A couple of Dinausors footprints are easily find in this park.

Day 2 --- Aplao - Andagua
Today a trip of 160 Km (100 miles). Direct after Aplao we hit the dirt for 3 full days. The road follows the beautiful valley of Majes, where tourists use the river for white-water-rafting and the locals fishing for nice fresh water shrimps. At the end of the valley starts our ascent into the high Andes. At the end of the afternoon we arrive at the village of Andagua, famous for her "Valley of the Volcanoes". Here are hundreds of dead and small vulcanoes, easily to climb the twin volcano, and see what is in the crater.

Day 3 --- Andagua - Caylloma
Deep into the Andes. Again 160 Km (100 Miles) of gravel to do. We're on the road again! The first few hours are really spectacular. Very quickly you will ride your bike over 4,000 meter (13,100 ft) mountain-passes!!! You will see the second highest volcano on earth, the Coropuna (6,450 meter / 21,160 ft), and after a wild and steep descend we arrive in Caylloma, where we will spend the night.

Day 4 --- Caylloma- Chivay
Another day in the dirt. We are heading for Chivay on 3,600 meter (11,800 ft). When we have time, we'll visit the hot-springs. In the evening you can stroll the plaza and the little streets of Chivay.

Day 5 --- Chivay - Arequipa
An early "Rise & Shine", because we are heading to 'Cruz del Condor' to see the condors. About 60 km of gravel-road lies ahead of us. After we have seen the condors (no guarantee!) we take the same way back to Chivay for the lunch. After lunch we head back to Arequipa, mostly on asphalt, we have to take one of the highest passes in South America (4,910 meter / 16,100 ft) and see thousands of llamas and alpacas. Over the 'Aguada Blanca' with her vicuñas, along the big volcanoes Chachani and El Misti back to Arequipa.
