About Chile...
In
the north of Chile you'll find the vast Atacama desert,
all the way from further north Peru. Desert landscapes and
beautiful volcanoes and on the other hand coastal cities with
a meditereanian feel, like Arica and Iquique.
Wonderful to make your motor-miles here!
The
coastline of this long-streched country is about 6.500 kilometers
and runs from Peru to Patagonia. Glaciers in the south and
a big desert in the north and almost everything in between.
Lots of different landscapes here!
In the north-east you will find the mighty Andes with snowpeaks,
the geisers of El Tatio and the green salt-lakes. In National
Park Lauca lots of volcanoes higher than 6.000 meters and little
mountain-villages on Inca-terraces. Also the hippie-village
San Pedro de Atacama in the middle of the Atacama-desert. Be
sure to visit the Inca-ruins and the Spanish colonial culture
in Chile. It's worth wile! And don't forget the Valle de Luna
(Valley of the Moon) near Calama. You wil see a very surrealistic
landscape where erosion is and was the sculpture.
And, of course, don't forget the Chilean wines, they are very good and worldfamous.
